Okay so for more information and more nitty gritty of this carrier, please look up MythicUSA's MultiCam Minute episode on YouTube outlining the features and capabilities of this carrier.
Now, here's my two cents on this carrier: for a while, I've been using the Crye AVS and JPC systems, which both come with their own perks and drawbacks. I would say the AVS is a very versatile carrier with a great harness system for carrying A LOT of gear. However, I started minimizing the amount of gear I carried recently and only carried what I needed, which rendered using the benefit of the harness obsolete. Then I switched back to the JPC since it was more utilitarian for more minimalist kits. However, that carrier in itself is also extremely flawed in design, including a long-term weak point at the hypalon-platebag junction, additionally, it still wasn't the most comfortable carrier to ever exist.
Don't be fooled by the form of the SPC and assume it's an uncomfortable carrier. It most definitely isn't. It's comfortable and it is lightweight.
So in this case, what do I run? Around 2019, Crye Precision rolled out their Crye Airlite SPC structural plate carrier design which was essentially a mix match of the best of the AVS and JPC. You get the better load bearing of the AVS and the feel of the harness of the AVS with the JPC's lower profile build. The result? A carrier that can stand on its own, hold up your gear if you carry a lot and doesn't tug on your shoulder like an AVS or murder your spine like a JPC. I found that the SPC is the most comfortable plate carrier I've own on a first impression to date. Granted, I have to ditch those internal MBITR pouches and run my radios externally.
The 2-band cummerbund is rigid and low profile, granting you enough MOLLE space to run some of your utility items and the rigidity to form to your body. I love this damn design, albeit, my cummerbund was cut down by the original owner to fit more like a medium JPC cummerbund. The stock SPC cummerbunds are way too long and require overlapping.
With the advent of the SPC, I would even dare say switch to this from the AVS. The shoulder strap designs are integrated into the platebag, so you won't have to worry about structural degradation or long term ripping at the seams.
